Taking into account what was stated in the previous case study (Entry 18), the following table and figure respectively describe and represent the emergent strategic process according to Mintzberg when the protagonists are individual participants or groups of people from any part of the organization (‘bottom-up’ emergent process), who interact, so that over time an incipient pattern of behavior is formed in this stream of actions (incipient emergent strategy), which eventually becomes a realized strategy (emergent strategy) without the need for top management to incorporate it into the deliberate strategic process.
